Scribblenauts, what have you discovered?

So I just got back with my copy of Scribblenauts tonight (Along with Mario & Luigi 3) and I must say my first 10 minutes with the game basically boiled down to me getting frustrated with the controls (which I am still frustrated with to some extant) but once I was able to put in the words "Keyboard Cat" and have a cat come floating into the game world playing a keyboard (yes, you read that right) I knew I was hooked!

For those of you who do not know about Scribblenauts, it is a brand new and totally original game released exclusively on the Nintendo DS. The premise is simple, write anything you want (with some exceptions obviously) and see that object brought to life within the game. You use these objects to solve puzzles throughout the game world and solve puzzles. Need to cut down a tree to solve the puzzle? Typing in anything like "Saw", "Chainsaw", "Beaver", heck maybe even something like "Termite" would cut the tree down and complete the puzzle. Things start getting more complicated than that of course, and that's where things get fun.

So far my initial impressions are pretty good. The game has a very original premise going for it but is marred by some really weird and clunky controls which will defiantly take some time getting used to (all movement is done with the touch screen, camera controlled by the D-pad or Face buttons).

My question to you all who have played the game is, what are your favorite in game objects that you have uncovered that you never imagined would ever be in the game? Share them in a comment below!

Klonoa arrives on Wii, my impressions.

First I would like to say that I missed the launch date for one of my most anticipated games of the year. The original release date for Klonoa was May 5th and suddenly it was showing up on Gamestop's website as an April 30th release date but later got pushed back to May 5th so I thought nothing of it. As it ends up it was indeed released early (Atleast at Gamestop) on May 1st and I did not find this out until May 4th, in which case I decided to wait until it was released at Best Buy to purchase the game.

First let me explain breifly what Klonoa is all about for those who are unaware. This is a remake to a platformer game which originated on the Playstation 1 back in 1997. It is a 2.5D platformer as people like to refer to it as it is on a two dementional plane however this plane shifts the camera to give the effect of the game moving on three dimensions. The game is filled with cute charm and characters as well as a surprisingly engaging story. The platforming takes on light puzzle solving elements as Klonoa can grab his enemies and use them to give himself double jumps, hit switches, and more.
